I work in front of a computer, helping to manage a website to which, for large periods of time, absolutely nothing needs to be done. Thus I have rather a lot of time to fill with busy, diligent looking behaviour, like trolling the web for odd novelties. Today I am going to start sticking some of them here.

Patch 3.3 looks like a bit of a nerf for us destro locks sadly. I say sadly, I'm kind of ambivalent to be honest. There's going to be a boost to aff and demo specs, apparently to the point that aff will have the edge on dps, and demo will at least become a viable raid spec again rather than being useful purely for solo questing (for which aff is more than sufficient anyway). This means that I can raid as an actual lock rather than fire-mage lite, which is good, if a lot more confusing.

The downside is that my name will no longer fit my spec. I'm pretty sure noone speaks Quenya, and that few people are sad enough (as sad as me) to choose a name in the old-tongue of Tolkien's Elves, but somewhere inside the darkest, geekiest corners of my soul a little part of me will be crying 'but i'm not the-daughter-of-the-flame anymore; i'm living a lie.'

Still maybe i can spare a tenner for a name change. Raukotur or Fëapilu? Both sound shit in my opinion, maybe I'll just take the nerf...
